Which solar system size do I need?
Pick a size to see what it can usually run. This is a simple guide. We confirm the right size after checking your bill and appliances.
3 kW solar system
For a small home without AC. It can usually run:
- Lights and fans
- Fridge
- TV and phone charging
- Small water pump
5 kW solar system
The most popular size for family homes. It can usually run:
- Everything in 3 kW
- One 1.5 ton inverter AC in the daytime
- Washing machine
- Iron and microwave (not all at once)
8 kW solar system
For bigger homes that run two ACs. It can usually run:
- Everything in 5 kW
- Two 1.5 ton inverter ACs in the daytime
- Electric water motor
10–12 kW solar system
For big houses, shops and offices. It can usually run:
- Two to three inverter ACs in the daytime
- Shop lights, fridges and machines
- Most of a big home's daytime load
15 kW+ solar system

SunGo Solar is a solar energy company in Model Town, Gujranwala, Pakistan. We sell solar panels, inverters and lithium batteries, and we install complete solar systems for homes, shops, factories and tube-wells. We started in 2022 and have installed more than 500 solar systems across Punjab.
Is SunGo Solar an official dealer?
Yes. SunGo Solar is an official dealer of Knox, Itel and Photon. We also sell other trusted brands like Longi, Jinko, Canadian Solar, JA Solar, Solis, GoodWe and Pylontech. Buying from an official dealer means you get genuine products and help with warranty claims.
What size solar system do I need for my home?
It depends on what you want to run. As a simple guide, 3 kW runs lights, fans, a fridge and a TV. 5 kW can also run one 1.5 ton inverter AC in the daytime. 8 to 10 kW suits a bigger home with two or more ACs. Send us your electricity bill on WhatsApp and we will tell you the right size.
Can solar run my AC?
Yes. A 5 kW system can usually run one 1.5 ton inverter AC during the day when there is good sunlight. For two ACs, you normally need 8 kW or more. To run an AC at night, you also need a battery. We check your appliances before we suggest a system.
Will solar work at night and during load-shedding?
Solar panels only make electricity in daylight. For power at night or during load-shedding, you need a hybrid inverter and a battery. The battery charges in the day and gives power when the sun is down or the grid goes off. An on-grid system without a battery switches off when the grid goes off.
What is the difference between on-grid, off-grid and hybrid solar?
On-grid solar works with the grid (WAPDA/GEPCO) and can send extra power to it, but it has no backup. Off-grid solar uses batteries and does not connect to the grid at all. Hybrid solar does both: it works with the grid and uses a battery for backup. Many homes in Punjab choose hybrid.
Which battery is better, lithium or the old type?
Lithium batteries last longer, charge faster and need no water or maintenance. Old lead-acid (tubular) batteries cost less at the start, but they need care and usually wear out sooner. We sell lithium batteries from Knox, Itel, Photon, Pylontech and other brands.
Can you help with net metering?
Yes. We help you with the net metering process so you can send extra solar electricity to the grid and lower your bill. Net metering rules in Pakistan can change, so we explain the current rules to you before you apply.
Do you install solar outside Gujranwala?
Yes. Our shop is only in Gujranwala, but our team travels to install solar systems in Lahore, Sialkot, Wazirabad, Gujrat, Faisalabad and other cities in Punjab. Call or WhatsApp us with your location and we will tell you what is possible.
Do you have branches in other cities?
No. SunGo Solar has one shop only, in Model Town, Gujranwala. We do not have branches in other cities. Customers from other cities can order by phone or WhatsApp, and our team comes to their city to install the system.

Where is your shop and when are you open?
Our shop is on Gondala Wala Road, near Al-Miraj Fans, Block B, Model Town, Gujranwala. We are open Saturday to Thursday from 10 am to 10 pm. We are closed on Friday.
